Everywhere the liberal system of socialism has been tried, it has failed, causing hardship and lower standards of living for most citizens. Venezuela has been suffering for years because of President Hugo Chavez’s imposition of socialism upon the people.
Shortages of electricity, clean water, food staples, and high unemployment and high inflation are the results when socialism is enacted. But liberals never seem to learn.
A Washington Post article says that Chavez blames “unscrupulous speculators” for rampant inflation, though economists say unrestrained spending is the cause.
Unrestrained spending? Sound familiar? Sounds just like Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. Obama has borrowed and spent $4 trillion since taking office two-and-a-half years ago and there is no end in sight.
